These downrods are easily field-cuttable and not threaded. The fan comes with a flat ceiling canopy and is not compatible with vaulted ceiling canopy accessories. It is damp location rated with powder or clear coat finishes, making it suitable for indoor and covered outdoor environments but not recommended for saltwater or oceanfront locations. Safety cages are available for installations in low ceiling applications (7 ft in the US / 8.2 ft in Canada).
